-------- Z tv has been doing many new experiments in the field of music and entertainment. Thanks to Z tv for organizing a music show of Marathi music exclusively for the people of different age groups. The present generation is way ahead of elder people, is again proved by the reality show in Marathi of singing competition for children, “Little Champs or L’il Champs” the young singers are marvelous, fantastic and unbelievable. Many of the guests singers who appeared on the show, have their fingers in the mouth by their singing skills and they have admitted that it is Gift of God. As it is Indian singing is difficult process, add to this they are little singers. But those people who consider themselves as doyen of Indian music are dumb-founded by the skills displayed by these young, nay tiny singers. Some of the notes that it is hard for even accomplished singers, these knee deep musicians easily produced. All have agreed that it is heavenly gift to these tiny tots. They are born singers and this miracle is their God gift. The show, mainly on the Monday and Tuesday, has kept millions of people spell bound. It is a situation like Ramayan or Maha Bharata, nobody on the road at the time telecasting the show. Isn’t it wonderful guys? Such command, such mastery on the music is unheard of in recent times. Now five little champs are remaining in the show, 1) Prathamesh Laghate, 2) Rohit Raut, 3) Arya Ambekar, 4) Kartikee Gaikawad, and most tiny member,5) Mugdha Vaishampayan. The program is compeered by famous screen personality Pallavi Joshi, very deftly and with discipline. The permanent jury members are famous singer Vaishali Samant and music director cum singer Avadhoot Gupte. Most Marathi people who have access to Z tv and where no load shading disturbs the schedule, watch the program Sa Re Ga Ma Pa with devotion. Marathi society takes interest in devotional songs and what is popularly known as Bhav-geet, meaning emotional songs of love and allied feelings. Fisher mens’ songs also comprise of Bhav-geet genre of songs. Then a large portion of Marathi songs come from Sant Literature, meaning a treasure trove created by our God men like Sant Tukaram, etc. so we can say that Maharashtrian music is age old and rich in its repertoire. Add to this, this program is a competition. And competition of tiny tots at that. Of course they are divided into two groups, one of seniors, above 10 years of age and the other of children below that age. But competition is competition and there is no special treatment for anybody. IDEA company has sponsored the show and thanks to them for supporting so noble a cause. I am sure last episodes of the show will be scintillating. Everybody who has a ear for good music watches the show. But those without have lately developed a liking for such programs, are watching it. So come folks let us encourage the young ones. Let us wish the young ones best of luck to become Maha Gayak ( great singer ). Three cheers for Idea cellelure. Hip hip hurrah!
